In a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter), Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared his thoughts on the recent election results in Haryana and Jammu & Kashmir, celebrating the BJP’s victories and praising the democratic process.
Haryana Hat-trick
The BJP secured a clear majority in Haryana for the third consecutive time, a feat PM Modi attributed to the party’s focus on development and good governance. Expressing his gratitude to the people of Haryana, he wrote:
“Heartfelt gratitude from Haryana! I salute the people of Haryana for giving a clear majority to the Bharatiya Janata Party once again. This is the victory of the politics of development and good governance. I assure the people here that we will leave no stone unturned to fulfil their aspirations.”
The Prime Minister also acknowledged the tireless efforts of BJP workers in securing this victory, thanking them for their dedication and service to the state.
J&K’s Democratic Milestone
PM Modi highlighted the significance of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections, which were held for the first time since the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35(A). He praised the high voter turnout, stating:
“These elections in Jammu and Kashmir have been very special. They were held for the first time after the removal of Articles 370 and 35(A) and witnessed a high turnout, thus showing the people’s belief in democracy. I compliment each and every person in Jammu and Kashmir for this.”
The Prime Minister expressed pride in the BJP’s performance in J&K, thanking voters for their trust and assuring continued efforts for the region’s welfare.
In a gracious gesture, PM Modi also congratulated the National Conference (NC) on their strong showing in the J&K elections. The NC, along with its allies, secured 48 seats in the 90-member legislative assembly, while the BJP achieved its best-ever performance with 29 seats.
As India’s political landscape continues to evolve, these election results reflect the diverse voices of the nation’s electorate and the ongoing strength of its democratic processes.
