    COLOCON-2025 Successfully Advances Colon Cancer Care Through Focused CME Program

    The much-anticipated COLOCON-2025, a one-of-its-kind Continuing Medical Education (CME) program on colon cancer, concluded successfully at the Green Park Hotel, Bengaluru, with an overwhelming response from the medical fraternity. The event witnessed the participation of around 200 surgeons and postgraduate students from across the country, who came together to address the growing burden of colon cancer in India.

    Key Highlights of the Event
    The program focused on equipping attendees with advanced skills in Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS), such as laparoscopic and robotic techniques, and emphasized the importance of early diagnosis and comprehensive care for colon cancer patients. Esteemed faculty members delivered insightful sessions, including hands-on workshops, on evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes.

    The event was organized under the leadership of:

    Dr. Sreekanth, Organizing Secretary

    The program was held in collaboration with leading organizations, including the Indian Association of Surgical Oncology (IASO), Bangalore Oncology Group, Samrohana Cancer Foundation, and Fortis Hospital.

    Speaking at the event, Dr. Sandeep Nayak, Chairman of COLOCON-2025, said, “Colon cancer is a growing concern in India, and the adoption of minimally invasive techniques is the need of the hour. By training young surgeons in these advanced methods, we are not just enhancing surgical precision but also improving patient recovery and outcomes. COLOCON-2025 is a step toward bringing Indian healthcare closer to global standards in cancer treatment.”

    Attendees were empowered to adopt global best practices in colon cancer care.
